Our passion is to provide quality, accessible, and comprehensive Christian focused counseling to individuals, couples and families. Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we use biblical truth and professional skills to therapeutically impact the client’s spiritual growth, emotional healing, and psychological well being.

COUNSELING SERVICES
INDIVIDUAL AND FAMILY COUNSELING
Marital and family counselors help individuals, couples, and families to deal with issues from a Christian perspective. Our counseling includes:
To the extent possible, counselors are assigned according to their areas of expertise.
PRE-MARITAL COUNSELING
Becoming One consists of six to eight hours of intense counseling and a PREPARE compatibility assessment of critical areas of married life:
Becoming One is required prior to marriages performed at Briarwood and appointment must be made at least three months prior to the wedding.
CAREER TRANSITION
Individuals dealing with layoffs, downsizing and other career transition issues are assisted in approaching these issues from a Christian perspective.
MEET OUR COUNSELER
Emmanuel Seals is a native of Fairhope
He has a Masters Degree in Christian Counseling and Family Ministry. He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He is certified in Mental Health First AID. Emmanuel teaches Mental First Aid to state and federal law enforcement agencies. He is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management. and is a member of the Baldwin County Critical Incident Stress Management Team. He is also a member of the Baldwin County Crisis Intervention Team. Emmanuel worked as a counselor for the Upward Bound Program. He has worked as a youth minister, served on national and international worship teams, and has done mission work in South Korea. Emmanuel lives with his wife Ellie and their six children in his childhood home in Fairhope.
