In this message, “You Have His Word,” we look at the story of Jephthah in Judges 11 and what it teaches us about faith, God’s Word, and knowing God’s will. Jephthah was used by God and experienced victory, but he made a tragic vow that God never required. His story reminds us that we can know about God without fully understanding what God desires. Instead of bargaining with God, guessing at His will, or allowing culture to shape our beliefs, we can filter everything through the Word of God. God’s Word brings power, healing, direction, freedom, correction, and promises we can trust. You don’t have to negotiate with God for what He has already promised. God has spoken. God is faithful. Trust what He said.
